Chiara Ottomano, Executive Director, holds a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology, with minor in Early Childhood Education.  Mrs. Ottomano, utilizes her extensive background and experience in Early Childhood Education to manage the day-to-day operations of our centers, greeting parents and children each and every day.  Mrs. Ottomano is a Child Care Council of Nassau Board Member who has developed a successful business by practicing many of the skills developed as a Scholar of Organizational Psychology and a businesswoman.  Her expertise has been recognized by The National Association of Professional Women who has awarded her the 2014 Woman of the Year Award for “Dedication to My Profession and the Achievement of Women”Consequently, these proficiencies, coupled with her advocacy for children, have contributed to the implementation of many practices that have enriched Children's Nest programs and beloved interactions with the families.​  

Additional team members, our Educational Director and Program Director are always attentive to daily operations to ensure safety and implementation of policies and procedures that meet our high standards of care and education.  Our Educational Director holds an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and nearly 40 years of experience as a Director.  Our Program Director Our Program Director has extensive experience in Early Childhood Education and Childcare, having been a child care center/nursery school Administrative Director for more than 12 years.  Parents, children, and staff know they are supported by our directors to achieve shared goals for providing amazing, quality educational experiences every day.

  Children's Nest mission is based in belief and philosophy that children need to feel safe and have a sense of belonging in their "home away from home".  We devote ourselves in maintaining an environment where self-esteem, love, learning, and respect for others are prominent.  Our goal is for every child to leave each day feeling secure and loved which will make them grow into an independent and happy person. 

Our staff are chosen for their warmth, training, and experience in caring for small children.  Every Children's Nest teacher is highly experienced, qualified, and possesses Associates, Bachelor's or Master's level education, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.  We provide ongoing, above-board, extensive staff development opportunities for our teachers and directors, to ensure every child receives the best care and education. We are proud of our success in achieving a notable reputation of exceptional early childhood centers with enthusiastically impassioned, early childhood professional staff committed to loving and inspiring children to learn and thrive.
